Classdojo has raised $21 million in a series b round of venture funding for tech that connects educators to students’ parents, and helps them communicate consistently about student’s. Class dojo gives teachers the ability to get in touch with parents, creates a social media atmosphere, allows students to post (with teacher approval to the class story). It was not the same.
It works on all devices, like tablets, phones, computers, and smartboards.
The second, class story, allows teachers to post images, videos, and messages for parents and guardians to see what's happening in class. Many teachers use it as a classroom management tool, like a techie updated version of the formerly popular clip chart system. You just log on to class dojo on your phone or computer and put in a special code for your child and you have instant access to that classroom and teacher. Students are however, provided with a concrete measure of their behavior.
